Team of Tirang Sports is glad to announce the successful completion of South-West Delhi Zone/District Ranking Badminton Championship 2023 organised at Tirang Badminton Centre Dwarka, Goyla Vihar from April 22nd 2023 to April 24th 2023. The athletes displayed exceptional skills and determination to win. The game was played on multiple courts simultaneously, which increased the excitement of the event. Participants across the district competed in various categories ranging from under-11 to senior in the championship.

 

The chief guest for the evening was Olympic bronze medalist, Commonwealth Games gold medalist, and Asian Games champion wrestler Mr. Yogeshwar Dutt. Guests of honour included Dr. Ameeta Sinh (DCBA President and former international player), Dr. Sanjay Sinh (Former Union Minister, Government of India), Smt. Sushma Pawan Rathi (Counsellor of Madhu Vihar), and Mr. Manish Mohan (CPCO Sports Authority of India). The Sponsors for championship were Assotech and Adhayayanum Academy and the Nutrition Partner was The Whole Truth Foods.

 

In the end, the main guest of the program, Sh. Yogeshwar Dutt delivered his concluding speech on the stage. He congratulated all the participants for their performance and encouraged them to continue their passion for badminton. The Delhi Capital Badminton Association (DCBA) President Dr. Ameeta Sinh expressed their satisfaction with the tournament's organization and turnout.

 

Founder of Tirang Sports and Organising Secretary of DCBA – Ayush Garg said “it’s been an honor to host the pride of India Mr Yogeshwar Dutt besides us. He has been very humble throughout the event as he made sure that every podium finisher was presented a medal from him and he even stayed back to interact with badminton players and their parents. I am glad DCBA gave us the opportunity to host this tournament at Tirang Badminton Centre and have close to 300 shuttlers here competing for the upcoming Badminton Inter-district/State Championships in Delhi.”
